Lyndsey Olson ’04
Adjunct: General Curriculum
Lyndsey Olson currently serves as the General Counsel/AGR State Judge Advocate for the Minnesota National Guard, leading a legal team that provides in-house legal counsel to the organization on a wide range of military and governmental legal issues. From 2008-2009, she deployed to Iraq as a military prosecutor for Task Force 34 (34th Combat Aviation Brigade) where she earned a Bronze Star for her service.
Ms. Olson has provided legal services to over 3,000 service members and military family members, and she continuously strives to broaden avenues for legal assistance to service members and military families through education of the civilian bar and community partnerships. She has been named one of Minnesota Lawyer’s Attorneys of the Year in 2012, one of Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2013, and Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s Outstanding In-House Counsel 2015 for her work with and on behalf of service members.
In furtherance of community partnerships, Ms. Olson currently serves on the board of directors for Central Minnesota Legal Services and Call4Justice. She received her law degree in 2003 from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. While in law school, Major Olson served as a Primary Editor of the Hamline Law Review. In 2010, she received an LL.M. in Military Law at the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia.
