Eighth Circuit Court Oral Argument
A three judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit will hold a special oral argument session at the University of Minnesota Law School on the morning of October 20, 2016, in room 25. The session is open to the public and will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Law students and faculty are encouraged to attend and observe the Court as it hears arguments from counsel in a number of cases, followed by a short Q & A session with the panel judges. The cases to be argued and the briefs are:
- OmegaGenesis Corporation v. Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research Brief
- Minnesota Voters Alliance, et al. v. Joe Mansky, et al.; Minnesota Voters Alliance, et al. v. Steve Simon Brief
- Thomas Nash v. Optomec Brief
Rules of courtroom decorum will be followed. No purses, backpacks, bags, cell phones, cameras or recording devices will be allowed in the hall. We encourage you to not bring them, but coat check will be available if needed.
