On November 9, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Haaland v. Brackeen, a case which will decide whether the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) is constitutional. This decision will have bombastic implications, not just for Indigenous families and children, but for the sovereignty of Tribal Nations across Minnesota and the U.S.

Please RSVP to join the Native American Law Students Association and the American Constitution Society for a conversation with ICWA experts, to learn about the staggering consequences of this decision for Indigenous communities. We are proud to be serving delicious catering from Gatherings Cafe, a local Indigenous-owned restaurant, at this event.

We will meet in Room 55 of Mondale Hall.
