Renowned civil procedure scholar and former U of MN Law professor Arthur R. Miller will be joined by three distinguished panelists to discuss and address judicial decisions that have given judges broader discretion to resolve cases prior to trial and screen cases out of court (e.g., dismiss on the pleadings, dismiss on jurisdictional grounds, require arbitration, etc.). Panelists include the following:
