Prof. Painter Quoted in Des Moines Register Editorial on Sen. Grassley's Threat

Professor Richard Painter was quoted in a Des Moines Register editorial that criticized Senator Chuck Grassley for his threat never to allow confirmation again for any position of an Obama Administration lawyer who authored an Office of Legal Counsel opinion authorizing the President's recess appointments. The editorial quoted Painter who, while he disagreed with the OLC opinion, said that an OLC lawyer should be free to render an honest opinion free of threats of adverse career consequences from either the White House of Congress.
