Prof. Fionnuala Ní Aoláin Admitted to Royal Irish Academy
Professor Fionnuala Ní Aoláin has been admitted to the Royal Irish Academy.
The Royal Irish Academy, based in Dublin, is an independent academic body that promotes study and excellence in the sciences, humanities, and social sciences.
Ní Aoláin is a University Regents Professor; holder of the Robina Chair in Law, Public Policy, and Society; and faculty director of the Human Rights Center at the Law School. She is concurrently a professor of law at the Queen’s University of Belfast, School of Law. She also serves as the U.N. Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism.
