1Ls Noah Cozad and Jiatian Huang Hosted at Latham & Watkins Tech Summit in NYC

1Ls Noah Cozad and Jiatian Huang were among a select group of students from around the country that Latham & Watkins LLP hosted at its Technology Innovation Summit in New York City earlier this spring.

Through a series of presentations, simulations, and workshops, the students engaged with lawyers and senior executives from the firm and industry experts in emerging and fast evolving legal technology. The summit’s interactive sessions covered topics including artificial intelligence, blockchain, practice area specific resources, emerging legal technologies, and design thinking.

First-year law students were competitively selected for the program on the basis of academic and leadership achievements, demonstrated interest in learning about legal technology, and a desire to practice law at a global law firm. As part of the application process, the students submitted a statement addressing their interest in learning about innovation and technology, and how they could make technology one of their competitive advantages.
