Prof. Matthew Bodie Quoted on Starbucks's Legal Response to Its Workers' Union Organizing Campaign

Professor Matthew Bodie was interviewed by Bloomberg Law reporters Justin Wise and Robert Iafolla for their article on the law firm representing Starbucks in its battle against union organizing at over 300 of its stores.  The article reports that law firm Littler Mendelson has staffed at least 110 attorneys, including more than 50 partners, in its work for the world’s largest coffee chain on union-related cases since the beginning of the campaign in 2021.

Speaking of the volume of work generated by the campaign at the National Labor Relations Board, he said: "All of this is unprecedented. It’s hard for me to wrap my brain around it, and it seems to just keep coming.”
